CARL SHINKO has had a lifetime love of music, and has been recording it for nearly as long.  From his childhood days of cassette-recording to his latest high-fidelity digital endeavors, Carl has always had a passion for trying to capture the essence of music in fixed form.  Before completing his BA in Music Performance at Bloomsburg University, he worked as an audio engineer and camera operator for PBS affiliate WVIA-TV/FM in Pittston, PA and recorded two CDs in the guise of the Shinko Singers, his acclaimed one-man choir: "Carols With Carl" and "Songs of Love And Longing From The 16th and 20th Centuries".

Now a conductor, educator, professional musician, and engineer, Carl brings a wealth of musical and technological knowledge and experience to his recording projects.  Through understanding of both technical and artistic disciplines, he is able to bring otherwise daunting recording projects together with grace, ease, and skill.  He recently engineered and produced the successful debut album of piano-playing songstress Sarah Holgate, titled "Welcoming The Night".  Carl is currently at work on several new CD projects, as well as doing sound design and editing for the independent film adaptation of the play, "Cubes".

Carl Shinko has become a favorite live-recording engineer in the Wyoming Valley and throughout Northeast Pennsylvania due to his professionalism, musical sensitivity, attention to detail, and expediency.  He enjoys unique and challenging projects, and is well known for going above and beyond the call of duty to ensure quality products and services.
